Short bio

Pietro Savazzi received the Laurea degree in electronics engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electronics and computer science from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 1995 and 1999, respectively. In 1999, he joined the Ericsson Lab Italy, Milan, as a System Designer, working on broadband microwave systems. In 2001, he was with Marconi Mobile, Genoa, Italy, as a System Designer in the field of 3G wireless systems.

Since 2003, he has been with the University of Pavia, where he is currently an Associate Professor, teaching two courses on signal processing and wireless sensor networks. His main research interests are in signal processing for wireless communication, sensor systems, and body area and intrabody networks.
