Short bio
Anna Vizziello is Assistant Professor at the University of Pavia, Italy. She received the Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Computer Science from the University of Pavia, Italy. She has been selected as expert by the European Commission and since 2013 she collaborates as referee for the peer evaluation process of the proposals.
She has been a visiting researcher in several universities. In summer 2023 and 2016, and winter 2011 she was at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts; from 2009 to 2010 she was at Broadband Wireless Networking Lab at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ian F. Akyildiz; and in summer 2009 and 2010 she was at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. From 2007 to 2009 she was working as researcher at European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering (EUCENTRE), working on long range transmissions in emergency situations.
She is Award Co-chair of 2021 N2Women board and a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for several conferences (around forty), such as IEEE ICC 2021, IEEE GLOBECOM 2017, IEEE ICC 2017, IEEE INFOCOM 2015.
She has been invited to give tutorials in the area of intra-body networks for several conferences, such as IEEE MELECON 2020, IEEE LATINCOM 2020, IEEE CCNC 2021 and EWSN 2021.
